Do It Right Right Right is an actual case from the Financial Modeling World Cup 2021, Stage 9 (September 24-27) competition. This case presents you with a financial model that contains errors, and your goal is to spot these errors. The case author emphasizes logical errors in calculations, not just mislinked formulas.

Case description:

Identify and fix errors in the monthly 3-statement model of Modelling Quality Stuff Productions (MQSP), without actually changing the workings of the model.

MQSP’s model has several errors, some of which are not formulaic but commercially wrong. The questions are not in order of difficulty and some errors pertain to specific row numbers. The errors have an actual impact on the numbers being modeled. The correct workings should be recreated for each question while considering the impact of each issue in isolation.

–Solution: Excel file with full Solution Model; PDF file with correct Answers in Bold

This model awarded 450 regular points + 50 Extra Points for the bonus questions, while the whole 2h Stage allowed to earn 1,150 points in total.
